Thanksgiving at Kalopa

We were invited to join several families from the ward for Thanksgiving at Kalopa State Park. Here's the group; we were the honorary tutu and papa. We took the loop trail through the woods. Always lovely.
I see ferns and remember how my grandmother struggled to make them grow!

Appears to be warmer than here.

Regarding the growing of ferns: in the high-mountain deserts of Utah (and Wyoming?) we fast and pray over everything we plant. The pioneers tried to recreate the beautiful lawns and gardens of England, but we really do live in a desert.
