So what can you tell us about these birds? Wild? Escaped from a local farm? So intriguing.

So does that mean you're planning on plucking and cleaning them yourself? Best of luck to you and my mother.
No idea where they came from. It seems like we've had more strange birds around lately. Someone suggested that some may have been introduced for hunting. Our neighbors have a dozen eggs on their front lawn most mornings from a group of free range hens that are running around the neighborhood.
I hope they eat the eggs.

I love it! Weird about the free-range hens and their egg-laying.
